Porpoising

I first encountered the term "porpoising" in Michael Crichton's novel "Airframe"; he was referring to the phenomenon of an airplane rising and falling repeatedly, similar to a porpoise leaping in and out of the water. I (or more precisely, my stack :-) experienced this phenomenon in last night's session.

This is an excerpt from my April 8, 2010 post. My stack porpoised last night as well. That's frustrating. At first it was one step forward, one step back, but it degenerated to one step forward, two steps back. You know your days are numbered when it comes to that.
