Last night, I hit the rail with yaagbh - yet another always going broke hand. I was dealt a suited ace, and hit the nut flush on the turn. Unfortunately for me, I was drawing dead at that point; an opponent had hit a full house on the turn. That was certainly one of the best hands I've ever exited a tournament with.

Last night, I recorded yet another 0th place when I hit the rail with yaagbh - yet another always going broke hand. ... The great thing about an always going broke hand is that you never feel bad about playing it the way you did :-)

This is an excerpt from my December 11, 2020 post. Last night, I hit the rail with yaagbh, but instead of a 0th place, I narrowly missed the money, bubbling the bubble. I was dealt baby cowboys (pocket jacks), hit a set on the flop, and was a heavy favorite; however, my opponent hit a straight on the river, and I was gone in a New York minute.

As a refresher, an always going broke hand is a hand you're always prepared to go all in with; it doesn't mean you'll always go broke doing so :-)

Last night, I hit the rail with such a hand shortly after entering the tournament. I was dealt K4o (king four offsuit) and the flop had an ace, a deuce, and a trey. The turn and river were both kings. I shoved after the river and got snap called by a player who'd flopped a straight with 54o (five four offsuit) and had slow played it. Whatcha gonna do?

I was dealt pocket queens, got into a preflop raising war, and called all in. Unfortunately, my opponent turned over aces, making me an 18.96% dog. His aces held up, and I was gone. As a refresher, an always going broke hand is a hand you're always prepared to go all in with; it doesn't mean you'll always go broke doing so :-)
