Jinxing a streak

It's never a good idea to talk about a winning streak while it's in progress, since you might jinx it. What about a losing streak, though? Would there still be a jinx possibility in that case? I contend that you can only jinx a losing streak by talking about it if you secretly want it to continue. If you want it to end, and try to force that outcome by purposely trying to jinx the streak, there's no mojo in the jinx.

Although I like setting personal worsts, I don't like them enough ever to secretly want losing streaks to continue. All this boils down to the following points:

1. my session losing streak is at 9, and counting
2. I wanted to talk about it
3. I'm under no delusion that talking about it will jinx it, more's the pity :-)
