On the final hand of my final session of the year, something happened that I'd never witnessed before in my entire poker career, which spans more than twelve years. I was dealt the deuce and trey of spades, and flopped a flush. That's not the rare part yet. When all my chips got into the middle, my opponent turned over a better flush. That's still not the rare part. The turn and river were also spades. That's the rare part. There were nine cards face up on the felt, and every single one of them was a spade. You just can't make this shit up :-)
