Last night, in the second tournament I entered, I experienced yadr - yet another deluxe redraw. As a refresher, here's the definition (from my January 11 post of this year):
In poker parlance, a redraw is when one player is ahead of another after
the flop, the places get reversed on the turn, and then the places get
reversed again on the river. In my parlance, a deluxe redraw is when one
player is ahead of another before the flop, the places get reversed on
the flop, the places get reversed again on the turn, and finally the
places get reversed yet again on the river.
As fate would have it, the deluxe redraw occurred on the final hand of the session. Before the flop, I was a 56.75% favorite. On the flop, I was a 47.37% dog. On the turn, I was a 65.91% favorite. On the river, I hit the rail. I even remember what my holding was, without needing to check the archives - a pair of tens.
