My latest neo neo is fallinbye. It's what has happened to you when you've hit the rail in a tournament after falling in on your final hand. That's the fate I suffered last night. This made me curious to find out how many times I've had a fallinbye. The answer? 54 times in 450 tournaments, which is exactly 12 percent of the time. Now I wonder how many times I've made the money in tournaments which ended with a fallinbye. Let me check the archives ... The answer? 23. It makes more sense to have a fallinbye if you've already made the money; in this case, you're simply trying to ladder up. If you have too many fallinbyes when you haven't made the money, you're probably not playing aggressively enough. That was certainly the case with me last night. Tonight, I vow to play more aggressively :-)
