yafftp

Last night, in the MTT 8-game I played, I suffered yafftp - yet another freefall from the peak. When I reached the peak, I was in fourth place, and in great shape. However, I didn't win a single hand after that. It was painful. To add insult to injury, I didn't outlast the late registration period, so I didn't get an official place. I know things will turn around, just not when :-)

yafftp

This is the third time I've used this blog post title. Here's what I had to say the last time:

On Monday night, I suffered yafftp - yet another freefall from the peak. The rate this happens remains remarkably consistent over time, hovering around 32%. As I've mentioned before, this statistic has no correlation with making or missing the money, so it's actually a pretty silly one to look at. It's one of the standbys I use when I can't figure out what else to write about a session :-)

Everything applies equally well to last night's session except for the day of the week :-)

yafftp

Last night, I suffered yafftp - yet another freefall from the peak. I missed the money, but not by much. I lasted the seventh longest I ever have in a futile cause - 92 hands to be precise. I got much too frisky on one hand near the end battling one of the big stacks, and lost half my chips as a result. My blue distance has now ballooned up to $624,000. The great thing about MTT-R NLHEs is that such seemingly large deficits can be erased in a New York minute :-)
