Showdown perfection

Last night, I had an agreeable return to cash game no limit hold'em. I achieved showdown perfection again, for the first time in over three months. I have my work cut out to return my overall balance to the blue - right now, it's $626,237 away. My cash game no limit hold'em balance is faring somewhat better - it's "only" $278,437 away :-)

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 46 hands and saw flop:
 - 4 out of 6 times while in big blind (66%)
 - 4 out of 6 times while in small blind (66%)
 - 11 out of 34 times in other positions (32%)
 - a total of 19 out of 46 (41%)
 Pots won at showdown - 3 of 3 (100%)
Pots won without showdown - 5

delta: $24,119
cash game no limit hold'em balance: $6,733,490
balance: $9,638,589

Showdown perfection

This marks at least the third time I've used this title for a blog post. Showdown perfection is easy to define, but difficult to achieve. It's when you win every time you go to showdown. Last night I did just that. Running the numbers, I discovered that I've achieved this considerably more often than I thought I had. I figured it to be around 5% of the time, but I've actually done it 64 times in the 632 sessions for which I have the requisite data, which is a hair over 10%. Last night's winning session propelled my cash game no limit hold'em balance back into the blue.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 26 hands and saw flop:
 - 4 out of 5 times while in big blind (80%)
 - 2 out of 5 times while in small blind (40%)
 - 12 out of 16 times in other positions (75%)
 - a total of 18 out of 26 (69%)
 Pots won at showdown - 5 of 5 (100%)
Pots won without showdown - 1

delta: $74,309
cash game no limit hold'em balance: $6,256,205
balance: $9,313,908

Showdown perfection

The title of this post is yet another swallow returning to Capistrano; I've used it before. Showdown perfection means just what it says - never losing a showdown. I achieved it again last night. When you're really playing well, it's like you can see through the cards; you just know when it's no good going to showdown, so you don't. The poker skill I'm proudest of is this sixth sense. It's not always in full working order, but when it is, watch out!

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 61 hands and saw flop:
 - 5 out of 9 times while in big blind (55%)
 - 5 out of 9 times while in small blind (55%)
 - 21 out of 43 times in other positions (48%)
 - a total of 31 out of 61 (50%)
 Pots won at showdown - 6 of 6 (100%)
Pots won without showdown - 4

cash game no limit hold'em balance: $5,278,932
balance: $7,635,885
