Premium shortage

Last night, in the MTT NLHE tournament I entered, I faced a severe shortage of premium hands. I wasn't dealt a single one. If I'd been receiving them at their normal pace, I would have been dealt at least two. What could I do? I worked with what I had, and didn't miss the money by much. In other news, I hit the rail in the MTT-R NLHE tournament I entered, with a holding of pocket jacks. As fate would have it, that was the only premium hand I received in the entire session.
