Señor Dos

This is the third time I've used this blog post title. Last night, I was Señor Dos since I came in second in every sit and go I entered. I was generally happy with the results, but had to accept the fact that I was kept out of the winner's circle in one of the tournaments by a bad beat. I've now wagered more money this year playing sit and go no limit hold'em than I currently have in my balance. That's actually a good thing :-)

Señor Dos

This is the second time I've used this blog post title; the first was on February 20th, 2014. I was Señor Dos on Friday night since I came in second three times in four tournaments. Here are my sit and go no limit hold'em place counts to date:

The reason I have significantly more second place finishes than first place ones is that until I make the money, I play simply to make the money, not to come in first. As a result, I enter heads up play more frequently with a smaller chip stack than my opponent than I enter it with a larger one. That's okay with me, though; if the numbers were the other way around, that would mean I was playing too riskily, and I'd actually be making it to heads up play much less frequently.

Note: I discovered today that I'd incorrectly entered some sit and go no limit hold'em tournaments into my poker database as sit and go no limit 8-game tournaments. I've corrected those errors, but haven't gone back and corrected any incorrect sit and go no limit hold'em balances previously reported on this blog. From this point on, the balances will be accurate :-)

Señor Dos

I now have a fairly large body of tournament work - 432 sit and gos, to be precise. I've wagered a staggering 26,969,080 play dollars on them, and have won an equally staggering 28,897,170 play dollars playing them. Here's how I've fared place-wise:
